Technically called self-welding bolts or Nelson bolts by the company that developed the technology and products for their use and function as weldable bolts. The function of nelson bolts is to reinforce concrete by welding this product to the steel or structure to act as a single unit which prevents puncturing, sealing and weakening of the structure and concrete. Self-welding bolts are used for bridges, columns, retaining walls, structures and others. We also have the ferrules for a better installation of the bolts, since it is necessary to have a special welding machine to make the work faster and much more efficient.

Applications Fasteners for the installation of metal mezzanines (steel and galvadeck). They provide greater support and rigidity to the mezzanine.
Material They are manufactured from cold-drawn bars meeting the requirements of ASTM A108, Specification for Cold Finished Carbon Steel Bars Grades 1010 through 1020.
Ferrule heat-resistant ceramic part used at the time of bolt installation.
Flux A deoxidizing flux and arc stabilizer suitable for welding should be provided with each stud of 5/16 diameter or larger.
Base material thickness When welding directly to the base metal, the base metal should not be thinner than 1/3 of the bolt diameter. When welding through the platform, the bolt diameter should not exceed 2.5 times the thickness of the base material. In no case should studs be welded through more than two layers of metal decking.
